Coach Registration Process
Posted Jun 7, 2018

All coaches and assistant coaches working with the youth players must complete this required registration and disclosure in order to have the background check ran. You will need your social security number, driver's license number, picture of yourself to upload, and the copy of your Concussion Awareness and Education certificate, as well as a Safe Sport Training completion.

Concussion Awareness Training
Iowa Soccer's policy includes mandatory coach education and testing, and a return to play protocol that involves coaches, clubs, referees, parents, medical personnel and Iowa Soccer. The policy details the expectations of everyone involved, the requirements to be in compliance and the processes to implement the policy.

The required coach education and testing for concussion's can be completed at this link:

https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/coach.html

Note: The completion certificate is valid for two years. If you believe you completed this training in Fall 2018/Spring 2019, and do not have a copy of your concussion certificate, please log back in at any time at the CDC link above to save or reprint your certificate. To log back in, please enter the username and password you first used to register for the training. Certificates are available only to those who have created an account and successfully finished the training.  Unfortunately, at this time, the registration program did not save the certificate from last season.  You will have to upload it again.

There will also be a SafeSport Training link that you must complete.

Coaches must register to each program they will be involved with this year.
